DefectIn the front suspension, due to insufficient tightening control of the nut that fastens the damper unit and damper mount, some units have low fastening force due to manufacturing variations. As a result, play may occur in the rod fastening part of the damper unit when steering the handle, applying excessive stress near the fastening part. If use is continued, in the worst case, the rod may break, potentially impairing driving stability.
ComponentSuspension system (front wheel suspension)
RemedyFor all vehicles, replace the front suspension damper unit, nut, damper mount thrust plate, and surrounding parts (such as washers) with new ones, and tighten them to the specified torque.
