DefectIn the control program for the high-voltage starter-alternator, due to insufficient design review, the system's monitoring function may incorrectly detect a malfunction and stop the operation of the high-voltage starter-alternator. As a result, during hybrid driving, motor assist will be lost, which may increase fuel injection and lead to an increase in exhaust gas emissions. Furthermore, during electric-only driving, to protect the high-voltage battery, the high-voltage circuit may be shut off, potentially rendering the vehicle inoperable.
ComponentPowertrain (High-voltage starter-alternator)
RemedyFor all vehicles, the control program for the high-voltage starter-alternator will be rewritten with the updated control program.
