DefectSome high-voltage batteries contain improperly manufactured battery modules. This can lead to an internal short circuit in the battery module, and in the worst case, thermal battery abnormalities may occur, potentially leading to fire.

RemedyFor all vehicles, inspect the vehicle using OTA or a dedicated tester, and replace any abnormal battery modules with good ones. Additionally, install a countermeasure program equipped with a vehicle self-diagnosis function via OTA or a dedicated tester. However, as preparation of the program will take time, as a provisional measure, users will be requested to bring their vehicles in for regular battery inspections and will be informed to limit charging to 80%.
