DefectDue to insufficient design review of the controller installed in electric forklifts, if high-load operations are repeatedly performed for a long period, the metal terminal block of the controller may become hot and cause a creep phenomenon. Consequently, the tightening force of the nuts securing the terminals decreases, increasing contact resistance at the terminal part and generating heat. If use is continued in this state, the controller may burn out, rendering the vehicle unable to drive.
ComponentPower unit (Drive motor control controller)
RemedyFor all vehicles, the controller will be replaced with an improved part. However, as preparation of the improved part will take time, as a provisional measure, the nuts at the controller terminal part will be re-tightened to the specified torque.
