DefectIn the electrical wiring, due to improper crimping of terminals between the wires of the left handlebar switch harness, if the harness repeatedly slides due to handlebar steering operations, the crimped part of the terminal may wear out. As a result, if use continues as is, the crimped part may oxidize, increasing resistance, which may prevent the horn from sounding or the headlights from illuminating.
ComponentElectrical wiring (left handlebar switch harness)
RemedyFor all vehicles, the left handlebar switch harness will be replaced with a countermeasure product that does not have terminal crimping between the wires. Please note that since it will take time to supply the countermeasure product, as a provisional measure, the routing of the left handlebar switch harness will be changed, and once parts are ready, customers will be notified again to replace it with the countermeasure product.
