DefectRegarding the bolts fastening the upper and lower crankcases of the engine, due to insufficient consideration of the tightening method, the tightening axial force varies, and some bolts were tightened with excessive axial force. As a result, proper oil clearance cannot be ensured between the crankshaft bearing and the crankshaft, and in the worst case, the crankshaft bearing may seize, potentially causing the engine to stop while driving.
ComponentEngine (crankshaft bearing)
RemedyFor vehicles that have not been driven, the crankcase tightening bolts will be tightened using the proper method. For vehicles that have already been driven, the crankshaft bearings will be inspected and repaired if any abnormality is found.
