DefectDue to improper design of the piston and top ring in the engine, the gap between the piston and top ring is wide. If the engine repeatedly decelerates using engine braking from a high RPM state, engine oil may be drawn up into the combustion chamber and burn, which can increase oil consumption. As a result, abnormal noise may occur due to poor oil lubrication. If use is continued as is, the engine may be damaged while driving, potentially causing the rear wheel to lock and the vehicle to overturn, or it may lead to a fire.
ComponentEngine (Piston, Top Ring)
RemedyFor all affected vehicles, the piston and top ring will be replaced with improved parts. Additionally, the engine will be inspected, and if abnormal noise is present, the engine assembly will be replaced.
