DefectRegarding the E13C engine control computer: ① Due to an inappropriate DPR regeneration control program, during DPR regeneration under high-speed and high-load conditions, the urea SCR catalyst temperature may become higher than expected, which can accelerate catalyst degradation. Consequently, if use continues as is, the nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission values in the exhaust gas may exceed regulatory limits. ② Due to an inappropriate SCR catalyst degradation judgment program, a normal catalyst may be incorrectly judged as abnormal, and the warning light may illuminate.
ComponentEngine (Engine Control Program)
RemedyFor all vehicles, rewrite the engine control computer program to the countermeasure specification. For all vehicles, inspect the catalyst according to our company's established standards, and if it exceeds the standards, replace the catalyst with a new one. Additionally, remove the catalyst purification rate inspection, which was added to the maintenance notebook's inspection and maintenance items as a provisional measure.
