DefectDuring recall work for notification number 'Gai-3647' dated July 26, Reiwa 5 (2023) and notification number 'Gai-3729' dated December 14, Reiwa 5 (2023), some vehicle fires have occurred in the power supply unit of the electric motor where the control program of the Battery Energy Control Module was rewritten. Therefore, although the cause has not been identified, since there is a risk of fire originating from the lithium-ion battery within the battery pack assembly in power supply units of the same type, as a precautionary measure, the control program will be rewritten for all vehicles.

RemedyFor all vehicles, as a provisional measure, the control program of the Battery Energy Control Module will be rewritten, and the maximum charging capacity will be controlled to approximately 90%. Once the cause of the defect and countermeasures are determined, permanent countermeasures will be promptly implemented.
